FAQs
What exactly do you do?
We work on your behalf to have the
credit bureaus remove negative information from your credit report in order to
improve your credit score.
What type of items can you remove?
Due to the
unpredictable nature of the credit bureaus we do not make guarantees on specific
items. We have had success in
removing all types of derogatory items, but our primary goal is to remove enough
items, regardless of type, to improve your scores.
Can I do this myself?
Yes. Anyone can dispute an item on their
credit report at any time. The benefit of using Quest Credit Group is that you
can take advantage of our years of experience, and you will not have to work
through the mistakes we have already experienced.
What payment types do you accept?
We can accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and
check by phone. If you do not have
a bank account or credit card we can accept a Money Order by mail for any of our pre-pay programs.
What type of communication should I expect after I sign up?
You will receive updates by mail from
each of the three credit bureaus within 45 days of each round of disputes. We do not receive or provide any updates
during this period. The letters you
receive are for your records only, and we do not need a copy, but you can feel
free to call your Account Executive if you have any questions.
What if my score does not increase?
We achieve the desired results for
approximately 95% of our clients. In the event that you happen to fall into the 5% you have two
options. We will either continue
with more dispute rounds at no additional charge, or offer you a
refund.
How many points will my score increase?
Because every
situation is unique there is no stock answer to this question. Our typical client will see the removal
of 50-60% of the negative items from their report, and an improvement in score
of 50-75 points. It does not happen
every time, but we have seen scores increase by over 125 points using our
Improvement program, and 175 points using the Restoration
program.
Is this improvement temporary or permanent?
Once an item is
removed by law it can not be placed back on your report. The credit bureaus used to remove items
from reports while they were in dispute, only to put them back once they were
verified. They have changed their
policy, and only remove items that are not
verified.
If I sign up for Improvement can I just upgrade to Restoration in 120 days?
Each service is
unique and processed separately. We
do not simply add three rounds to the Improvement process to complete the
Restoration process. We can not
change the service you are on during the process, or upgrade once the process is
complete; you would have to sign up for a second service for more
work.
Can I pull credit prior to the completion of the process?
Many clients will see enough improvement after the first round or two that they can qualify for the financing they need. We do not restrict you from pulling credit during the process, but you should be aware that doing so can lower your score, and will void your money-back guarantee.
